Anger Management for Youth Program
Some youth need extra support and skill development in managing
anger. Because suspending them may not be effective and counseling
them may not sufficiently build the skills they need, implementing
an anger management program/class in your school can be your strength-based
approach to the problem. The Anger Management for Youth Program
helps schools create a seven-week anger management class using a
proven curriculum that has been endorsed by youth. Anger management
classes can be a turn-off if the material is canned, but this program
will turn youth on to new ways of handling intense emotions and
getting what they really need. School staff are presented with real
life analysis of the issues facing angry and wary youth in a short
in-service presentation and discussion.
